You'll experience preaching and teaching that is centered on the Word of God. We believe that we offer an outlet for truth filled and spirit moving praise and worship celebration. And, we offer ministries to meet the spiritual needs of every age and generation.
Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Worship
Won't you join us this Christmas Eve for a traditional Communion and Candlelight worship celebration where the table of the Lord is open to all, regardless of age or faith community affiliation.
Here at Dewey UMC, you'll find a warm setting that is family oriented, and child friendly. Come celebrate with us during our very first worship celebration in our newly renovated worship center.
We'll be singing lots of Christmas carols, and lighting candles as we celebrate with great joy the birth of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Pastor Dale's sermon that evening will be entitled "Christmas in Ninevah."
We would love to share this evening with you! Won't you join us on December 24th at 6:00 pm. Make the communion and candlelight celebration a family holiday tradition.
– Wilderness Time –
A Lenten Sermon Series
“Immediately” (the writer of Mark’s gospel really loves that word) after Jesus’ baptism by John, the spirit literally “drove” (or “forced,” depending on the translation you read) Jesus out into the wilderness where Jesus stayed for 40 days during which time he was tempted by Satan. As we move through Lent, I want invite you to take a journey with me, into the wilderness with Jesus.
Over six weeks (from Feb 22nd, the first Sunday of Lent through Palm Sunday, on Mar 29th), we’ll look at the various aspects of the wilderness of our lives. I hope you’ll plan on being with us – bring your family and friends to join us during this exciting time of ministry together as we prepare for the joy of Easter morning.
